Easy Gift Idea that Works for Him, for Her, for Anyone
This is a really fun idea when you need a gift for someone…but are stumped as to what to get. I call it, “These Are a Few of Their Favorite Things.”
(Apologies in advance if The Sound of Music soundtrack plays in your head for the rest of the day!)
Start by selecting a favorite of the birthday person. It could be anything! A favorite food, a favorite country, a favorite genre of book or movie… This becomes the theme of your gift. Next, select a container and fill it with varieties of the person’s favorite things!
THIS GIFT WILL BE A FAVORITE BECAUSE
✔️ A gift of their favorites shows you’ve paid attention to something that’s important to them
✔️ Anyone would love a variety of their favorites
✔️ Small individual gifts have a much bigger impact when bundled together
✔️ The container is reusable!
To give you an example, check out this birthday gift I was lucky enough to receive from a friend. She knows that I LOVE all things coconut and she went to town!
She included some luxurious bath and beauty products which of course were scented with coconut or used coconut oil in them.
She added several dangerously delicious coconut treats to eat.
(After eating an entire bag of the Dang Chocolate Covered Coconut Chips in one sitting, I learned that ONE bag contains three servings. Consider yourself warned!)
If you noticed the collection of interviews by Terry Gross and are wondering, "What on earth does the host of NPR's Fresh Air have to do with coconut?"
She has nothing to do with coconut...at least as far as I know. My friend made it part of the gift because she knows I'm a diehard NPR fan
